A nice spot to walk with your kids and dogs overlooking South Bay, with the closest public washroom nearby!
It is an interesting stop when you are touring around The County. Locals like to stop here when "driving around The Horn". (This means leaving Picton and heading out to Waupoos , then to Cressy at the end of The Horn and back to Picton.) It is never boring to experience a bit of local history.
Lake Ontario museum. Good lighthouse. Nice. Make sure it's open before you head out.
Highlights of a visit include fascinating displays related to everything from shipbuilding to fishing, as well as rum running, a risky occupation that peaked during the US prohibition when illegal alcohol was smuggled from local (also illegal) distillers to New York. Boat races and recreational boating are also covered. Also of note is the old lighthouse, brought here from nearby Duck Island, along with numerous ship models and artifacts
