Dog friendly but dog must be on a leash. Great spot for kids to lead and simply explore, there are tons of different paths to keep it interesting for everyone! Easy and quick hike is to the pond!
In the heart of the Valley, this small preserve has moderately steep trails. The reviews describe well. NOTE for safety: there are homeless camps in places and police do not recommend women going alone.
Only about 3 miles away. Large hilly nature preserve with many different hiking and biking trails. Views from the top of Spokane Valley and Mt. Spokane. Grassy field and picnic tables, restrooms, water fountain, nature conservancy area, large boulders to climb in hikes. Free parking.
Dishman hills conservation area is a great place to do some hiking, they have numerous trails ranging from beginner to advanced. We recommend downloading "maps.me" or "all trails", on both apps you can download offline maps of the area and see all the available trails. It is a great place to go to get away from the city and really be a part of nature, it is a short 5-minute drive from kimchi house!
