Joseph D. Grant County Park, the largest of Santa Clara County's regional park and recreation areas. This 10,882 acre park includes some of the County's finest open space resources, as well as rich environmental, cultural and recreational assets. The landscape is characteristic of the east foothills of the Santa Clara Valley with grasslands and majestic oak trees. As part of the park's tradition and history, cattle grazing currently takes place in some areas, and is monitored under a resource management plan.

Serene & beautiful, a year-round campground just east off San Jose is surprising unknown and one of our favorites! 12mi to Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton. Reserve via: sccgov.org/sites/parks

Overlook San Jose from the hilltops -- lots of hikes here from easy to challenging. Lakes, views, birds, wildflowers. Even the 30 min drive offers some stunning views.
