Walking suggestions in the locality. 1. At the end of Mortimer St turn right onto Forester - this street becomes a dirt road and this will take you to the lighthouse with great coastal views. The Guilderton lighthouse is the last built in Australia! You may also see some fauna - this is a good spot for wildflowers in September. 2. The Guilderton Golf course (centre of town at the country club) is a lovely walk (9 holes) - Wednesday is golf day for the club usually afternoon. The course has beautiful native plants and is quite undulated. Dogs are allowed. 3. The Boardwalk - access off Stephens Cr. near Silver Creek. You will see a small car park at the end of the street which is also the east end of the village! This hugs the river so lots of bird life and a great view of the desert! It’s around 2 kl one way.
