The Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) is the major specialist children’s hospital for families living in Queensland and northern New South Wales. The hospital provides care to the state’s sickest and most critically injured children who need highly specialised care. Queensland Children’s Hospital is also the local children’s hospital for families who live in the catchment area in inner Brisbane. They provide assessment and care for children and young people up to the age of 15 (and before their 16th birthday). They also see young people up to the age of 18 who have chronic conditions previously treated by the hospital, and young people up to the age of 18 with mental health conditions.
