Torreya State Park is located North of Bristol, FL with the Park overlooking the Apalachicola River. This park is great for a hike and to also, sightsee the Gregory House. The Gregory House is a mansion, that was built during the Civil War that overlooks the River. I can remember taking a field trip as a child from the Hosford Elementary School on a school bus to see the Gregory House. Just beautiful place to go an enjoy this natural environment that may give you an sense of wonder.

A true gem of this area. Torreya State Park has some of the best hiking/biking trails in the state, and it is home to the highest point in Florida. Primitive camping available, or rent a camper shell.
