This stone building with impressive dome has served as the seat of government in New Brunswick since 1882. A notable spiral staircase and portrait gallery of former Lieutenant Governors greets visitors in the main entrance. The chamber reflects the taste of the late Victorians with a brass chandelier, oriental-style carpet and Speaker's chair set on a dais under a canopy bearing a carving of the Royal Coat of Arms. Free guided tours daily during summer from late-June until late-August, 10am-5pm (last tour at 4:30pm). From September until late-June, tours are available Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm by appointment.
