Alexandra Park was opened in 1870 is worth a visit to see beautiful swans and ducks and laugh at the dogs, food forest, and has great vantage points. There’s also a 9-hole golf course there, bike hire, and bowling.
A lovely park with a pond and swans. there is a hill with a view point of East end
Beautiful local park - great place for a walk or run. There is an outdoor gym, small basketball court, duck pond and even a 9 hole golf course. Great views of the city are possible if you choose the uphill paths. A lovely place for a picnic in the summer. Drinking alcohol in public is not technically allowed in Glasgow, but on a sunny weekend you will see lots of people having a cold drink with their picnic. In most places it is not policed at all. Except Kelvingrove Park (see below).
