Their hoagies are famous in the DC area, so be prepared to take a number and wait, but it is well worth it as a pit stop on your way home from the city.

The Italian Store! This original location has THE BEST sandwich in Arlington, VA. Favorite of locals, if you go here and have a sandwich you get instant Arlington street cred. Hard or soft roll is the hardest choice you have to make here. Go hard. You won't regret it. Don't forget to grab a line ticket when you get there. Line can get long on weekends. Worth the wait though.
