Far in the background is the island. This is a cool experience. There is a $15 fee to drive on the island, but it is fun for the whole family. There is a homestead/historical site that is very interesting. You should see bison and antelope on your drive. You get great views of the wasatch front and the Great Salt Lake. It also is an internationally-certified dark sky park, perfect for stargazing.

an island in the great salt lake discovered by Kit Carson. Drive the island to see free roaming deer, antelope, buffalo herds and every kind of bird. $6 a car, and you can rent bikes to ride on the island. Eat buffalo burgers and see the island museum and 1800's ranch tour.
Visit the historic, working ranch and see wild buffalo roaming the island in the middle of the great Salt Lake. 55 minute drive.
Great place to see and experience the great salt lake that this city is named after. There’s also a ton of Buffalo that roam around here!
Hike, mountain bike or horseback ride the park’s backcountry trails for spectacular views of lake and island scenery or stroll along sandy beaches and take a dip in the lake’s salty waters. Antelope Island is home to free-ranging bison, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn (antelope), and many other desert animals.
