Tropea ist die älteste Tourismus-Destination in Kalabrien und wurde wohl, wie so viele schöne Flecken auf der Erde, von den Engländern entdeckt. Kalabrien touristisch und kitschig schön.

Tropea ist eine lebende Kleinstadt und bietet besonders in den Sommermonaten ein aktives Nachtleben. Nebst der lebenden Kleinstadt, gibt es in Tropea viele deliziöse Restaurants und Bars. Natürlich darf man auch die bekannte Kirche nicht vergessen, bei der es sich lohnt, vorbeizuschauen.

The beauty and the beast ... the ugly duckling and the swan ... Tropea and Pizzo ... Tropea is the big rival although not to compare. Tropea is more city, has more noble palazzi, more city beach, more tourists but less soul. It is nice to visit, but good to be home in Pizzo. It can be done in 1/2 day, but take your bathing suits, on the way to Tropea are nice beaches, or take a swim at Tropea's city beach or continue to Capo Vaticano. Can be reached by local train.
