Awesome cave and trails to hike. You kind of forget you're in Iowa! Big enough to hike for about 5-6 hours. Free.

Maquoketa caves state park is a partial or full day experience, and great family destination. Explore the large caves with ease. Just be sure to bring a jacket and wear your boots.
