This is the largest urban forest in Latin America -- unmissable. If you are by car follow a map and go through Horto (the neighbourhood) or book a tour (there are many available). Lots of waterfalls ideal for a refreshing shower after the beach if you manage to go up there.
Beautiful, tropical rainforest, claimed to be the world's largest urban forest, in the heart of Rio. Fun day excursion. Consult any travel guide for information on booking a car and driver/guide.
