The palace of Nestor is just 5 km away. It was an important centre in Mycenaean times, and described in Homer's Odyssey and Iliad as Nestor's kingdom of "sandy Pylos".
The Palace of King Nestor From 1.300 BC was a two store building!!! Unbelievable for that period of time!!!
At a distance of 14 kilometers from today's Pylos, closer to the village of Chora is the Palace of Nestor or Palace of Nestor.
