A lovely pub. Excellent food. Lovely shop selling home wares, food and drink. We have walked here on a weekend morning and the owner has offered to make us bacon and eggs despite the shop only selling coffee and pastries. Winner! Can’t promise this will happen but it is that sort of place. Dog friendly

Good pub grub and a good place to park and do a circular walk past the guide hut and then back down into Cowley past Cowley Manor.

The Green Dragon Inn is biscuit-tin quaint, nestled in the side of a gentle hill among fields, streams and farms, half a mile from the village of Cowley and 15 minutes' drive from Cheltenham. The pub serves a seasonal menu that falls somewhere between pub grub and gastropub grub.

The food is freshly prepared daily by the resident Chefs, who take great care to ensure that the quality of the food served is of the highest standard and that our menus are able to provide something for the most discerning palate or for the most difficult child! Light meals and sandwiches are served lunchtimes Monday to Saturday only. To complement our food we offer a wine list from Europe and around the world, notable for its range and value. We also have a selection of Fine Red Wines available at affordable prices – see in house boards for current selection. We pride ourselves on having a good selection of fine ales; Butcombbe, Hooky, Doom Bar and guest ale’s as well as ciders. Our bar is also stocked with a wide selection of Gins, Vodkas and Whiskies to suit everyone’s taste.
