Meatpacking District

The Meatpacking District is a hip commercial area on the far west side. It's home to the Whitney Museum of American Art, high-end designer clothing stores and a stretch of the High Line, an elevated park built atop former railroad tracks. At ground level, the cobblestone streets are filled with trendy restaurants and clubs that have taken over the cavernous spaces once occupied by the namesake meatpacking plants Here you can find a lot of bar and restaurants

Chic, cool and very versatile! You can be enjoying a drink, bite or a cup of coffee around the Meatpacking square or at one of the famous spots such as Pastis, RH Rooftop restaurant and garden, the Boom Boom Room (at the top of the Standard hotel) or Catch for great seafood. The new Whitney museum is right there from where the Highline also begins! Simo is across the street of the Whitney and it’s the best $11 u can spend for PIZZA! (For a change of this pricey neighborhood…as most of downtown Manhattan unfortunately). The shopping is also amazing…you could go high-end at the brand boutiques around OR enjoy the street vendors on the weekend! (My fav fur guys are in front of Soho house every Fri-Sun…best fur coats and accessories at unbeatable prices! )

For trendy designer boutiques, this is the neighborhood to visit. Tip 1: The High Line and the Whitney Museum are nearby if you want to combine them. Tip 2: Chelsea Market and Gansevoort Market on West 14th St have an interesting range of fast food.
All the shopping and buzz you need. A short walk away to my favorite places to shop. You also have The Standard Hotel, which has beautiful views (The Boom Boom Room or Le Bain)
