It's a beautiful and peaceful escape! You can walk (or run) for miles along the Stort nagigation route, stopping along the way for a pint, or to admire the nature and the swans or the canal barge boats.

The river Stort is behind the Acorn, which you can walk along to the centre of Bishops Stortford, or towards Sawbridgeworth in the other direction. Note muddy in winter!
