A great holiday attraction , lots of shops , cafes , fish bars ,restaurants, amusement arcades. Beautiful beaches . It has a walkway and promenade that stretches all the way from Blyth Beach huts to Tynemouth .
If you are looking for something fun to do we highly recommend visiting northerly swell at Whitley bay beach just a five minutes walk along the prom. You can hire a bike to have a peddle along our beautiful coastline, or even paddle board or kayak off our lovely beach.
Enjoyable walk either way, whether up to the lighthouse north or Tynemouth way to the south.
Whitley Bay has a Blue Flag award winning beach stretching 3 miles long. You can enjoy a stroll along the promenade then up onto the links and carry on to St Mary's Lighthouse where you can take the steps to enjoy the amazing views from the top.
Whitley Bay is a Sandy beach located near Whitley Bay in Tyne and Wear. A Blue Flag Award beach, Whitley Bay has Excellent water quality and is at the southern end of an expanse of golden sand with rocky outcrops that stretches for two miles from St Mary’s Island to Cullercoats. Surfing, mini golf, shops, restaurants and a thriving nightlife in the town.
