Haga is the oldest part of Gothenburg. A picturesque place to stroll around. Cozy cafe and fun shops.
Scenical area to walk with shops and cafes. One tip: try the big cinnamon rolls from Cafe Husaren. You can then walk to the Skansen Kronan (a tower in the top of a small hill nearby).
Haga is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Gothenburg, full of beautiful shops, cafes, and cobblestone streets. The district has a very special atmosphere, and the main street Haga Nygateen is full of cozy sidewalk cafes and small specialty shops where you can otherwise just shop loose. It is obvious that you go out to try boring Swedish coffee when you are in Haga, because the area is known especially for its fantastic cinnamon snails. If you are in doubt about what fika means, then I can tell you that it is another word for “coffee and cake” and that was exactly what we got. You have to try Café Husaren, which is one of the street's best cafés, and there the cinnamon rolls cover the entire plate!
