Our young neighbors started this cafe in July and it is fantastic. You have to stop in and have a beer and the Lockhart plate!

Friendly, relaxing place. Good food, and a variety of adult beverages inside. Live music outside under the stars on weekends. Sit at a picnic table, or bring your chair and listen to some local musicians.

Martindale River Cafe and Mercantile is highly recommended and the heart of the community! Come see what all the hype is about at this magical spot in the historic downtown of Martindale. Enjoy incredible Live music on the banks of the San Marcos river under the stars every Friday and Saturday night. The food is fresh and delicious. They also have a really nice selection of beer and wine.

They have wonderful soups and surprises along with local homemade choices. Deli delights such as nice portion sized sandwiches and healthy salads , bbq from Lockhart You can eat outside or inside. 🎶Friday and Sat evenings , sometimes weekend afternoon there is live music . 🎶
