Great for a day out - walk by the river, visit the aquarium or heights of Abraham! Fish & Chips and the Arcades!
This is like the seaside in the country. Very busy at the weekend with motorbikes. Has a walk past the river. Illuminations and fireworks from the end of August thro to October. Cable cars, Gulliver's Kigdom. Plenty of places to eat
A seaside feel to this little town (there are amusements!) plus there are cable cars (the Heights of Abraham) to take in the stunning vista.
Very like a seaside town, but with no sea in sight! Great for a wander and for kids.
Poet Lord Byron described Matlock Bath as "Little Switzerland" during to its scenic nature. A former nineteenth century spa town built alongside the River Derwent, it resembles a seaside resort along the A6 with chip shops and amusement arcades. As mentioned elsewhere in this guide, the cable cars, the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom are amongst the attractions situated here.
