Green Line/Red Line train. Generally safe, but take precaution, especially before and after peak times. You can pay for a trip at the station, or use a Ventra card, available at any Walgreens and CVS. Trains run 7 days a week.

The Green Line L train has a station at McCormick Place Convention Center. The Green Line also goes to the Loop and to Oak Park as well as University of Chicago in Hyde Park
