During the right season, it's common to see whales along the coast, often in groups and with calves. There is also a good viewing point at Minnamurra Headland.
Situated above the cliffs at the southern headland, you have 360 degree panoramic views of Gerringong township and Werri Beach , Pacific Ocean and Shoalhaven Heads - have your camera ready. The Whale viewing platform is ideal for spotting migrating whales in certain seasons, and is a leash-free area for dogs to run and play. A tree grown from an original tree brought back from Gallipoli by an Australian soldier, the Lone Pine stands in memory of soldiers who died in Gallipoli in WWI.

So beautiful with sweeping views on all sides. Dog friendly area, great for walking/jogging.
A whale watching platform located above the cliffs on the Gerringong Headland, this is the ideal place to see the whales migrating north from late May to July and migrating south from September to November. The platform is just a short walk to Boat Harbour, and its great rock pool, and only a five minute walk into central Gerringong. Access is from Belinda St near the Gerringong Cemetery.
