The Newcastle Gaol Museum Precinct is a place unique to Toodyay and considered by many to be a must-see. The old Gaol has been lovingly restored, and the collections displayed are all local - the history of Toodyay and Newcastle are available to all. The Police Stables are directly across the road - don't forget to check them out. Entry fee: $5.00 AUD pp Concession: $4.00 pp Family pass: $12.00 (2 adults & 2 children) Under 6: Free. Though small by most museum's it is none the less presented extremely well, with a well written out history with staff at the museum very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the goals history which they are only to happy to share with visitors.
