Living Florida pioneer museum with original and replica period buildings and staff and costume.
Cracker Country, a rural Florida living history museum, was established in 1978 by Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Carlton, Jr. so future generations might better understand and appreciate Florida's rural heritage.
At Cracker Country, you won't just see history, as your experiences unfold before you you'll feel like you've become part of the past. Cracker Country is open during the Florida State Fair, selected Saturdays throughout the fall, and for school programs and private tours by reservation only.
