Great to hop on your laptop or do early yoga. It’s also a great place to workout.
First Ward Park is a 4.6 acre urban park in the First Ward neighborhood of Uptown Charlotte. After a national competition to attract architects, the firm Shadley Associates was selected to build the the park. It's beautiful!
301 E 7th St Charlotte, NC 28202 First Ward Park is the culmination of a joint partnership between Levine Properties, UNC Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte. The new 4-acre park is located between East 7th, 9th and Brevard Streets, just east of the light rail tracks. Nearby shops and other activities.
Lightrail to 9th or 7th St stations. Not a tree-park, per se, but a grand open space that often has events, plus in the summer the fountain turns into a giant splash park for the kids, fantastic. Plus it's right next to 7th St Public Market for food, etc, so you can't go wrong.
