Now part of the Vintage Inns chain. However, Robert Louis Stevenson stayed here while he was writing Kidnapped and made reference to it in the book. Worth checking out if only for that reason.

A very popular place for food or just a drink, connected with the famous author Robert Louis Stevenson who reported wrote some of his best work in the Inn.
