The Smithy at Cross Pipes, Goathland

The Smithy is a self contained stone built cottage situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. Spacious studio accommodation with a king sized bed in a recessed area, walk in shower and toilet, full kitchen facilities, wood burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. There is an outside seating area and private parking.

Runswick Bay - Top Gallant - with great sea views

Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. We have a great veranda with amazing views. WiFi and a Smart TV which includes Netflix and Prime Video. Bedding and towels provided. We provide a free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. The booking includes a bottle of wine. No Pets. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to steps and a spiral staircase. Check in 3pm. Check out 11.00 am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy.

Crumbleclive Cabin

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic getaway to recharge the batteries!

The cottage, which was once the village police officer’s station and home, accommodates up to six people and offers beautiful views over the delightful Esk Valley. It is situated in the North York Moors National Park, midway between the moors and the coast and just a fifteen minute drive (or slightly longer bus ride) from Whitby. The accomodation is unusually spacious for a one bedroomed cottage, it is light, warm and very well insulated but don’t forget there is the potential for noise and smells from the farm!
