The Center of the Universe! A quirky/artsy neighborhood, worth a visit to see the Fremont Troll, the Fremont rocket, and the statue of Lenin. Has a cute outdoor market on Sundays. Go to Gas Works Park for a great view of the city and South Lake Union.

Probably Seattle’s highest density of bars and restaurants, including lots of smaller ‘hole-in-the-wall’ places. Also the best area for nightlife/clubs. Has a vibrant LGBTQ community.

Gentrified neighborhood with cute cobblestone streets lined with many great restaurants and bars. Ballard has Seattle’s highest density of craft breweries. The Ballard Locks are popular for salmon watching from mid-June through to September.
Great food scene, bar scene and beer scene.
Hattie's Hat, Tractor Tavern, Ocho, Matador etc. and Salt and Straw for ice cream
