My favorite restaurants that are either on my regular or special occasion rotation.
Great food - they have a large community table that I sometimes go to. Open late too! The pork chop is highly recommended! So good!

My go to taqueria in the city. There will be a line. If there are no seats, get it to go and sit on the benches on the sidewalk a half block up mission. I'm addicted to Carne asada burrito w/cheese.

The BEST breakfast I've ever eaten my entire life ('The Plow')! Unfortunately, a lot of other people feel the same way and it's always crowded unless you come really early or feel like having breakfast at 1:45 in the afternoon...on a weekday. They close at 2pm. But seriously, if you're into breakfast food go here. It's worth all of the hassle.

Lots of shops and restaurants here. A bit of a hike to walk (20 min and a little hill). Get a Lyft or bus or train (N Judah) if you want to save your walking for the shops. There are lots of homeless street people on Haight, so be aware of that.

Getting Around
Closest BART station to the house. I normally use this to get to/from SFO. Transfer to the 22 bus on the corner where Walgreens is. Ride past the Safeway on Market and there is a stop at Hermann and Fillmore (pull the cord to make sure it stops there). Not recommended for travel at night. For evening travel from the airport take BART to Civic Center station and transfer to the outbound N Judah Muni line.
