An excellent base from which to visit Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles, picturesque Hexham and Corbridge and the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Horsley boasts a good pub and an Arts Centre/cafe and good local walks.

The flat is the perfect base for exploring Newcastle as the Metro is only an 8 minute walk with quick links to the City Centre and St James' Park stadium. Also convenient to Tynemouth Beach. The woodlands and leafy Jesmond Dene is only 10 minutes for a peaceful nature walk with waterfalls

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

A peaceful, self-contained modern spacious apartment on the edge of the Tyne Valley village of Stocksfield near Hadrian's Wall in the stunning Northumbrian countryside. Surrounded by a tree and wildlife filled garden, you will feel part of the countryside. It is the perfect space to relax, walk or cycle, or work on that book you've always promised yourself you'd write. Alternatively, the village train station will take you to the heart of both Newcastle or historic city of Carlisle.

Embrace the peace and quiet of the countryside surroundings and unwind at this peaceful retreat with amazing sunsets, dark skies and beautiful walks. only 1.5 miles from Corbridge, 4 miles from Hexham and 18 miles from Newcastle. The annex does have a small kitchenette where a simple meal can be prepared for an evening relaxing with a glass in front of log burner after a day of walks or sightseeing. If the sun is shining there’s a table with chairs outside the property.
