Welcome to our Gite, simply named Le Gite No 2! Over the past year we have brought this old building back to life with a total re-fit and makeover. Gite is in an amazing location with lots to do and see. Your hosts are Mark and Agnieszka, and, between us, we speak English, French, Polish and a little German. We are here to make your stay with us happy and relaxing, while you create wonderful memories! We live next door to the Gite and therefore, should you need help, we are on hand 24/7.

Nous vous invitons à venir vous détendre dans notre maison entièrement rénovée, de la fin des années 1800. La maison peut accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes, idéale pour des séjours en famille ou entre amis, à la semaine ou le week-end. Notre maison bénéficie d'une vue magnifique sur un grand étang. La pêche n'y ai pas autorisée, car nous ne sommes pas les propriétaires des etangs. Vous etes sur une exploitation agricole dont nous sommes les exploitants,le calme et le repos y sont garantis.

Seasonal use of the heated private guests only “plunge pool” within a fully fenced garden with large wooden terrace with views towards the River Vienne. The well equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, Nespresso Coffee machine etc. Wifi throughout. Dogs by prior approval only!! Fees apply.

There are no other guests on the property. There are beautiful walks on the doorstep with a Medieval Millhouse on the Charente river 300 metres away and chemins stretching for miles around the area. The beautiful old Abbey Town of Charroux is 8 Kms distant and we are within half an hour of Civray, Ruffec & Confolens.

Le Gîte Couleur Détente, une petite maison privative en pierre de pays où règne douceur et art de vivre. Entièrement rénovée par nos soins il y a quelques années et remise au goût du jour depuis peu pour vous accueillir, cette maison de 80 m2 prévue pour 5 personnes n’attend plus que vous, pour vos vacances, week-end entre amis ou vos déplacements professionnels. Remarque : les réservations au mois ne concernent pas les mois de juin, juillet, août.

The beautifully restored gite lies in the heart of the country but is close to the lovely historic village of Verteuil, one of the prettiest in Charente, dominated by a magnificent chateau with restaurants, wine cellar, and a small Sunday market. Logement en plein centre bourg proche de tous commerces ( superette, coiffeur, boulangerie, tabac, pharmacie etc... ) avec une grande chambre ( 24m2). Le logement se situe à coté de la place du village donc facilité pour se garer ( voir photos) . Boîte sécurisée pour récupérer les clés, si arrivée tardive. 15 min du circuit du vigeant, 25 min de civaux, 25 min vallée des singes, 45 min de poitiers + possibilité de Terra aventura .

In a wonderful area with lots of opportunities for walking, cycling and kayaking. Nearby village has bakeries, cafes, bar and weekly market.
