Islay is rich in history, at one time the seat of the Lords of the Isles, it is called the Queen of the Hebrides and is much greener than the other islands in the group. It is home to 9 working distilleries, farms, nature reserves, clean beaches, majestic cliffs, a long and varied coastline and a great variety of wildlife.
