There are 2 great local pubs in the village, both offering a fantastic range of food & drink. You'll find some beautiful footpaths to explore through the field gate. A quirky self-catering shepherd's hut in the Peak District close to the village of Hathersage with stunning views towards Stanage Edge. This shepherd's hut, situated on a working farm, sleeps two people in a king size bed with separate shower room. Kitchen facilities with toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, 2-ring hob. Our cosy hut is the perfect way to enjoy a stay in the Peak district national park, set in the heart of the village of Alstonefield its surrounded by stunning walks and must visit locations! The hut is set in a private area of our campsite, with a full size double bed, kitchen, seating and dining area with outside seating, balcony and firepit. The little hut is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break including bedding and firewood so all you need to do is arrive!!

The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy seating to relax by the wood burner. Our biofuel hot tub can be hired for your stay. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.
