Welcome to the A-frame at Finch Creek, a one-of-a-kind Northern Michigan getaway overlooking Finch Creek and completely surrounded by the Grass River Natural Area. We renovated this 1970s cabin from the ground up and designed it to feel open and connected to the landscape. With 20-foot vaulted ceilings, massive picture windows, a fireplace to curl up next to, and just minutes from some of the most stunning lakes in the state, it’s the perfect home base for exploring or doing nothing at all.

COZY A-Frame on 5 acres near Torch Lake & Traverse

Originally built in 1995, this A-frame lodge was once a rustic hunting and fishing cabin. It lived many years as a seasonal property before evolving into what you see today. This peaceful cabin sits amongst 5 acres of beautiful maple trees. What drew us to this property was the quaint Northern Michigan location and the knotty pine interior. There is something welcoming and relaxing about a peaceful, rustic-feeling retreat in the woods. This is how The Lodge: Our Northern Knotty was born.

We have a beautiful built 1000 sq ft Aframe! Recently installed a 100 inch theater system in the livingroom! Cabin is in Lakes of the North, which offers a perfect getaway for the outdoorsman. Side by Side trails! We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!

It's inspired by Scandinavia and the Danish concept of Hygge (roughly translates to Cozy) and sits on a private wooded lot. This is a place to cook, grill, relax, be cozy, explore, play games, read, take day trips, make memories and be inspired by all Northern Michigan has to offer. This 2 bedroom updated cabin with bonus loft (3 bed total) for additional sleeping space is located on a quiet cul-de-sac at Schuss Mountain in Shanty Creek Resort. The resort includes year round excitement including 5 golf courses, restaurants, skiing, hiking trails, and multiple indoor/outdoor pools. The town itself has unique shops as well as great local food and beverage options. Bellaire is also near popular destinations including Traverse City, Petoskey, and Charlevoix.

Custom crafted tiny home! It’s a industrial/rustic style home and equipped with everything you’ll need for a great stay including your own private hot tub! Please make note of the spiral staircase as it is steep. It’s located in a private corner of our property with its own drive so you will feel completely on your own. It’s located about 7 miles from Bellaire and Shorts brewery as well as torch lake. It’s about 45 minutes from traverse city, Charlevoix and Petoskey.

Our location is a short distance from the Jordan River Valley and within 20 minutes of the south arm of Lake Charlevoix, Torch Lake, Lake Michigan, Shanty Creek Schuss Mountain Resorts, Glacial Hills, orchards and farm markets. The cabin is a spacious two story retreat that will sleep 6 in two bedrooms and a loft. Guests have access to cabin wifi.
