Welcome to The Roost Resort. Take a step back in time and stay in a true 1950's A-frame cabin. This cabin features a queen bed, electric fire place heater, A/C, a full bathroom to include a tub/shower combo and a kitchenette with all the essentials. Step outside to your very own picnic table and charcoal grill. Enjoy the grain silo gazebo with gas fire pit or enjoy one of our open wood fire pits with adirondack chair seating. Play some horse shoes or enjoy the swings. We do not allow pets.

New modern home near Sylvan Lake.

New modern home 3 miles to Sylvan Lake and near the border of Custer State park. This is the closest home to Sylvan Lake for rent and the only home of this style available for rent. The home is backed by forest service and has no gravel roads to navigate. The home sits right off Sylvan Lake road and has a large 2 car garage ( more like 3 car) and is included with the use of the home ( there is some storage items in the garage). Across the street is a Buffalo and Long Horn cattle ranch.

If you have ever wanted to try out "tiny living" our adorable tiny house is perfect. This hand built tiny home is situated on our family property, but away from the main house to give you the privacy you are looking for. While giving you the opportunity to unplug, the Rambler is surrounded by beautiful national forest but is also ideally located just 3.5 miles from the town of Custer, SD. Easy access to Hwy 16/385 and close to all the beauty that the Black Hills to offer.

Get away from the daily hustle and bustle at our quiet little house. Our place is off the beaten path sitting on 80 acres. We often have wildlife visitors, such as mule deer, white tail deer, ground owls, sage grouse and more. Wake up and have a cup of coffee on our patio with the beautiful Black Hills National Forrest in your view. Perfect for those who want a truly private, relaxing stay. Hunters, we are located close to public access to Buffalo Gap National Grassland.
