Our unique place has a style all its own. Located on five acres there is always something in bloom on our property. This efficiency apartment, located on the ground floor of our home, has its own entrance, a Queen bed, full kitchen, bathroom with a standing shower, living room with tv, community gym, and washer and dryer access, Our pond has bass, so bring your fishing pole, or read a book while sitting by a babbling creek. Enjoy a small fire at the whimsical chiminea located in the patio area.

The best of both worlds. Our 11-acre waterfront family’s retreat is the ideal getaway for outdoor enthusiasts and beach lovers. With RVs on the front of the property and the occasional tent camper dispersed through out the acreage, you’ll enjoy time away from the crowds walking the mulched trail to the water or using the two kayaks provided for guest use. We offer additional experiences. Outdoor brunch for two/group, afternoon teatime, boho picnic, s’mores bundles, etc. Message with interest.

After a busy day, enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset or watch the deer as they approach the fields from the East. Visit Destin with its white sand beaches, Ponce de Leon & Vortex Springs, or the scenic creeks at Bear Paw & Econfina for a fun day of tubing and swimming!

Decorated with art from Madagascar, where the owner Yolande is from, and where Yolande's husband Clint worked for 24 years. Clint is a native of Ft Walton Beach and a Vietnam Combat Veteran. No pets allowed (even visitors' pets). NO CAMERAS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE HOUSE.

Mae's Cottage is a peaceful little bay house located right off of Interstate 10 in Milton (< 1 mile) and is within steps to the beautiful Blackwater River and Bay. It is approximately 100 yards from water access where you can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking or just watching the sun set. There is a public boat launch so bring your boat/jet skis/kayaks and fishing gear and head out to the beautiful waters of Blackwater Bay. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful little bungalow.
