You'll find us tucked in the quiet woods of northern WI near the Brule River. We're remote enough to experience star-filled skies & fireflies, but not far from many premier attractions. Your space is a self-contained apartment on the lower level of our 2.5 story home. It features a private entry, queen-sized bed, kitchenette, lower level private deck, access our beautiful grounds & more! Private animal-free apartment above our attached two-car garage. Share our 3-acre lake, kayak, SUP, rowboat and swim mat, yard, porch, picnic table and grill. Borrow our canoes to use on Rose Lake (100 acre-lake). Plenty of parking for trucks, trailers, ATV/UTVs, and snowmobiles. Access trails/routes from our place. Numerous lakes, streams, and the Wolf River near by! Seventeen miles to IAT Kettlebowl segment. Shuttling possible. We are quiet, family-friendly, God-loving, nature-respecting.

The home is the 1846 homestead of the William Butler family, making the home older than the State of Wisconsin! The 2019 remodel of the Loft is in sophisticated farmhouse style and pays tribute to the history of the home in its furnishings, up cycled pieces, and beautiful setting. This apartment was added to the back of our detached garage about 5 years ago. Low or no VOC products were used throughout construction. Brand new appliances installed with an oven big enough to cook the biggest turkey I’ve ever dreamed of. Spectacular ridge top views and beautiful starry nights. Hiking and cross country ski trails on the property of about 75 acres. Pick hazelnuts in the fall, collect and boil your own maple sap in the spring and pick blueberries in the summer.
