Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Historic Wykoff Jail Haus

Come explore the Historic Wykoff Jail Haus. The Jail Haus was built the late 1800’s and is owned by the city of Wykoff. Bike trails, trout fishing, Forestville State park, and cave exploration. There is kayaking and tubing 10 minutes away. Open over the winter months for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hunting and other winter activities. Playgrounds, restaurants, convenience / gas station all within walking distance. Located 40 miles south of Rochester in a town of 450 people.

You will have a bedroom, living area, kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and toaster oven (no conventional stove/oven), bathroom w/ tub & shower, pingpong table, laundry, and patio with fire ring. The home backs up to a park with both trails and playground equipment. There is on and off street parking and from Nov 15 - March 15 includes 1 garage space. Fully furnished home with complete kitchen, bedding and towels. Main floor bathroom has a seated shower with handheld. I will provide a Mayo Clinic parking pass upon request.

The Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh) House is a tiny taste of Scandinavia in Southeastern Minnesota. What is Hygge? In short, it's a Scandinavian way of living that focuses on hunkering down and creating a safe, comforting and warm place to while away. My husband and I hand built the Hygge House with your comfort in mind. We love being cozy and having space to spend together so when the opportunity arose to renovate our studio, we wanted to share it!

Bin There, Done That inspiration came from the television series "Texas Flip N Move." During one episode, an old grain bin was moved and repurposed into a home and from that Bin There, Done That was born. Here you will find a place to relax and refresh, a farming community surrounded by nature, good eateries, and local artisans.
