Then, after exploring the beauty of this colonial city, put your feet up and relax next to a roaring fire in one of the three fireplaces (primary, living, terrace) while appreciating the breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanoes. Our home is fully-equipped and ready for you to enjoy.

The sabbatical house

Set in a coffee lot by a unique wetland area, this home is about twenty minutes away from Antigua. Still, it feels a world away. You'll spend peaceful days in the lush gardens and walk to the Mayan towns of San Antonio and Santa Catarina Barahona. Should you like, you can also get to know the kids who visit the "Caldo de Piedra" library next door. (Proceeds go to support it.) Pickup and drop-off is in Antigua is provided free of charge (weekdays, up to 6 pm). Nature-, book-friendly.
