The view from "High Dump" is the most spectacular on the Bruce Peninsula; more so than the view at the Grotto. It's a 2-3 hour hike from Crane Lake Parking Lot. Just south of the boulder beach is the most spectacular rock formations in the water on the peninsula. Although it is a far cry from a sand beach, it is none the less one of my favourite places to swim on the peninsula. It is only for the adventurous, with an overnight stay in a backcountry campground being the most practical solution to reach this location. Pay Parking

A perfect place to find more reading material. No library card required :) Just a 15-minute drive from the cottage and is always well-stocked :) The Pine Tree Harbour is also a lovely place known for having many Orchids, so keep your eyes peeled for them. There is public water access, but it's rocky and does not hold a candle to the public beach. There is an island that one can swim to though, which can be fun. Free parking. No public washrooms.
