Go early. This restaurant gets *very* busy. You order cafeteria style and then find a table. The deck overlooks the river. This one is pretty touristy, but my sister thinks they have the best food.

This is our go-to casual Italian restaurant. The red sauce is very good and everything always tastes great. Laid back and easy on the wallet.

If you have a designated driver, order the gi-normous margarita and enjoy some of La Fiesta's very fresh, tasty Tex-Mex fusion fare. Great atmosphere and close to Ponce Inlet, just across the bridge.

JB's Fish Camp is a restaurant, but the the *super fun* thing to do here is rent a kayak, paddle a very short distance to a little cove, and hang out with the manatees. Be sure to arrive to rent a kayak no later than about 2 pm because they close early afternoon. Take dry clothing and towels. YOU WILL GET SOAKED. These are ocean kayaks. I have seen manatees and dolphins every single time I've been to this place. After changing into dry clothes, you can have an early dinner at the restaurant.

Sightseeing
You have to visit the lighthouse and the adjacent Ponce Inlet beach park. You can climb up the lighthouse, visit the gift shop, then drive over to the beach park. You can pay a fee to drive onto the actual beach there, or just go into the park and walk down to the jetty. Quite beautiful.

This place, located about 40 minutes away, is well worth the trip, if you love nature and manatees. There is a manatee cam online at Blue Springs State Park so you can check how many manatees are in the water before you go. I have been when there were *hundreds* of manatees, and another time, I only saw one but also spotted an alligator and lots of beautiful fish. There is a boardwalk by the river that is very peaceful for strolling and viewing.

Arts & Culture
Definitely worth a visit, if you like museums. For such a small town, they have a surprisingly large and impressive collection. There is also a children's museum. It is a little pricey -- $12.95 last time I went but I'm sure they have child and senior discounts.

Drinks & Nightlife
This restaurant and bar is right next door. You can walk over there, so no need to designate a driver. Stick with the fish n' chips and burgers (steer clear of the fancier items on the menu), and enjoy happy hour and the live music out on the desk. Don't expect anything gourmet here -- it's tavern food and drinks on the beach. Everyone is very friendly and the deck is great. If you visit the gift shop, ask for Dottie, our neighbor.

This place is a lot of fun, and somewhat off the tourist radar, so a bit more of a local hangout (but it's a nice place and they welcome visitors). The food is solid if you stick with the basics. The drinks are excellent and everyone is very nice. They do have live music some nights and also karaoke on some nights.
