My wife loves this place for breakfast. It is located just outside of the Gulf Gate neighborhood. You will get lots of great food at a reasonable price.

This is on Lido Key, about 15 minutes from Gulf Gate. There is an Old Salty Dog on Siesta Key as well.
I like this one better because - IT IS ON THE WATER. It is drinks and sandwich food. It is more of a lunch place, or late lunch place. But it is so fun watching the boats heading out to the Gulf. You should really try and go here for a lunch.

So this is a great restaurant. You could have Sunday brunch with a mimosa here. Certainly lunch anytime. Most nights there is a live band. Dinner is mostly drinks and not food - the band is loud, but the fun is big. You can also dance to the band. Go for it!

Parks & Nature
This is a great park. Many times you will be able to see great wild life, and alligators. There is a pontoon boat that goes out into the lake and that is a fun thing to do. You can rent bicycles here. The coolest thing is there is a bridge in the trees and you can walk up a deck staircase high into and over the canopy line. If you are up to it this is a fun thing to do.

13208 State Rd 72This is a great park. Many times you will be able to see great wild life, and alligators. There is a pontoon boat that goes out into the lake and that is a fun thing to do.
