Castleton show 201 is on Saturday 14th September
There are 2 pubs in Castleton both serve food, The Eskdale (currently closed awaiting new management)and the Downe Arms.
Chapel Tea Rooms serve from Breakfast time and there is an outdoor adventure play park for children with picnic benches.
There is a train station at Castleton which has trains to and from Middlesbrough /Whitby
