Sightseeing
This is an incredibly moving memorial to 70 resistance fighters killed in a seige , holed up in a farm during the second world war. The ruined farm complete with exploded cars and machinery and the graves of the resistance fighters and four hostages shot after the battle are well worth a visit.

Anyone who's read 'Labyrinth' or is fascinated by the Cathars will know Monségur - site on the top of a limestone rock (worth the climb) of the nine-month siege of the Cathar-held Château de Montségur by French royal forces starting in May 1243. After the castle surrendered, about 210 Cathars were burned in a bonfire at the foot of the hill on 16 March 1244.
