Food Scene
This place is a hidden gem. I've lived in the neighborhood for about 8 years and have been going to Tasca for pretty much that length of time and always leave happy and full. The tapas are flavorful and delicious, and their e-mails send me great deals like $5 tapas and $10 sangria pitchers. The Sangria is a great combination of sweetness that offsets the savory, flavorful food! It's a great place for dates or a girls night with friends (that seems to be the majority of their clientele) and has a great, cozy atmosphere. They have a fantastic selection of hot and cold tapas (I highly recommend the moroccan chicken and the setas al jerez (mushrooms in cream sauce). If you're not into tapa

I simply adore this place and recent developments have made it even better. The bar food menu is essentially pan-Asian with heavy Vietnamese influences. I recommend the smoked salmon bao ($7), the quality of which rivals any top Vietnamese establishment in Boston. They also offer a wide array of appetizers, rice bowls, and noodle bowls, including vegetarian/vegan options. Occasionally the bartenders seem overwhelmed, but that's to be expected. They do their best to consistently provide speedy, consistent service.
Besides the dance parties, Wonderbar also has hilarious comedy shows. Every Thursday around 7, there is an open mic called Thunderbar (no cover), where anyone can get stage time t
