This place gets super busy, so I always call my order in and skip the wait. When you go to pick it up, stay on the left side of the line and walk straight up to the front.
My favorites are the Surfin California burrito and the vegetarian quesadilla.

Rubicon has a few locations and they are all fantastic. The dutch crunch bread is out of this world. The large sandwich is big enough for two to share. Their cobb salad is great too.

Buona Forchetta belongs in Little Italy (or maybe Italy itself!) because they make the best pizza and homemade pasta you can eat in all of San Diego.
Local tip: While they don't take reservations, you can call ahead and ask to put your name on the list to save some time. You can also walk over to Hamilton's bar for a pint of San Diego's finest microbrews while waiting.

If you close your eyes when biting into a Dos Brasas taco, don't be surprised if you think you're actually in Mexico. The authenticity of their kitchen is second to none.
Everything is soooooo good, so don't worry about making the wrong choice; there are none!
