Parks & Nature
Definitely one of the best parks in Stockholm. There's an outdoor gym, a beach and a nice walking path by the water due south-east towards Skanstull. Also some "kolonilotter" (little gardens) with nice flowers during the summer.

My favourite place in the whole city. It's a big botanical garden with a kind of special greenhouse. Entering just the botanical garden is free. There's a great café there (Gamla Orangeriet). Be sure to avoid the generic café in the big greenhouse. It's not bad but Gamla Orangeriet is 100 times better.

Beautiful, tranquil place right in the middle of the city - what luxury! Take a walk/jog around the island, take a bath or visit one of the cafés.

A decent place to take a walk/jog, but I'd go for Långholmen just to the north. There's a funky little cabin that looks like a wizards hat along the walking path :) And a nice view of some abandoned industrial facilities. I think there are some places where kids can play around as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

A pretty decent food store. I think it won some award like "best foodstore of Sweden 2015" or something like that. Relatively good selection of high quality&/organic products.

All-organic and vegan food store with a decent selection of high-quality, fresh organic fruits and vegetables for a better price than the regular foodstores. Highly recommended if you are a conscious eater.

Getting Around
Closest subway station to the apartment. Note that there are many entrances to the subway, not just where the map marker is on the map. Subway card required, more info: http://sl.se/en/fares--tickets/

The heart of Stockholm, if you ask me. Unfortunately the politicians are currently ruining it with a stupid and expensive renovation project, so it's in quite a messy state right now. If you are interested in city infrastructure (and who isn't) or are into urban exploring the place might be something of interest to you, otherwise it's just a central communication hub.
The word "sluss" means flood gate and this is where the big lake called Mälaren meets the Baltic sea. The sluss was constructed by one of Sweden's national heroes, Christopher Polhem, the guy on the old 500 SEK bills.

Natural history museum of Sweden with a dome-shaped IMAX cinema where you can see very interesting documentaries, generally about the natural world. I highly recommend this place. It's proximity to Bergianska trädgården makes the two of them a great and relatively economical combination for a full day out!
