This public school was designed by the celebrated Glasgow architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, between 1903-1906. Its now a Museum that tells the story of education in Scotland and also looks at the local history of the Kingston and Tradeston areas. Don't miss the horrible heedie tour if its on when you are in town. Closed Monday.

Great for both kids and adults. Don't miss the daily organ recitals they are a pot luck of traditional and modern music but always mesmerising - 1pm daily except Sunday when its 3pm. There are also free tours every day at 11am and 2.30pm. Most famous painting Dali Christ on the cross. Paintings, natural history, the Glasgow Style, Dinosaurs, Scottish history and archaeology - this museum has it all and is in an amazing building as well. Free.

Also Scotland National Moving Image Archive - more than 100 years of Scottish history on film. Its also a great sports centre! Taking mixed use to the extreme but it works :) Building tours at Tuesday - 11am, Thursday - 11am, Friday - 1.30pm, Saturday - 11am and Sunday 1.30pm.

Zaha Hadid building on the banks of the River Clyde. The Transport Museum and The Tall Ship (the Glenlee was built on the Clyde in 1895). Sounds dry but its actually pretty interesting. Great for kids and adults. Free
