My foodie choices
Two streets down(stortorget), top 2 coffee places in tromso.
If you are staying for more than a couple days i recommend buying their coffee beans, ask for filter grind and brew on the coffee machine at the apartment.
However their pastries are very expensive and quite mediocre.

A small and cozy restaurant that specializes on sushi and vietnamese food.
Started by the original Rå sushi chef, the quality is sublime. And their prices are deciderable lower than Rå.
Also my husbands goto takeaway food(Hot curry chicken especially).

Reindeer, fish and other norwegian specialties! If i want to splurge, i usually go to skarven. Their food is good, not amazing but propably the best beef you can get in town.

For the more adult traveler that enjoys good drinks and a calm atmosphere. All are located within 7-10 minutes of walking.
Age group: 20-28
A small bar&cafe that is popular with the locals. Their drinks are generally consistent, however stick to the basics after 0100 on friday&saturdays.
Also very popular on sundays and mondays as bartenders and waiters usually grab a drink here.

Awesome place, they have a seal show each day and multiple aquarium tanks w/norwegian fish species . a combined museum with aquarium. Really recommend checking it out.
